About Me
I'm a licensed mental health counselor who services children, adolescents and adults on Boston's North Shore. I specialize in treating issues related to anxiety, depression, trauma and relational issues.
I have 10 years experience providing mental health services to youth, adults and families who deal with a wide range of mental health issues including anxiety, depression, family and relational problems, behavioral issues and ADHD. I've also received extensive training in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), the most empirically supported effective treatment for children and adolescents who are experiencing difficulties due to a traumatic life event.
Individual Therapy
One-to-one therapy is the first choice of many to process thoughts and feelings around emotional or relational problems and can be very effective at dealing with a variety of symptoms.
Couples Therapy
We never operate in isolation. Many times behavioral or relational problems are best addressed through couples therapy.
Trauma-FOcused Cognitive behavioral Therapy
TF-CBT is a rigorously researched therapy meant to treat children and adolescents who have significant emotional or behavioral difficulties related to one or more traumatic life events. TF-CBT treatment has been shown to result in improvement in PTSD symptoms, depression, anxiety symptoms, externalizing behavioral problems, sexualized behavior problems, shame, trauma-related cognitions, interpersonal trust, and social competence.
